The Action to End Poverty in Alberta, the Cerebral Palsy Association of Alberta, the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary and the Catholic Family Service all encourage Calgary City Council to take a leadership role in legalizing secondary suites. Despite their broad mandates, these organizations support legalization of secondary suites as a solution to Calgary's ongoing housing crisis that makes use of current housing stock and guarantees safety for homeowners and renters.
